June 30, 2014 – Driving to strengthen its Financial Lines capabilities and continue providing top claims service to clients, XL Group’s insurance operation in Iberia announced the appointment of Alejandra Llobera as Senior Claims Specialist Financial Lines as well as the promotion of Mónica Novillo to Deputy Claims Manager. Ms. Llobera and Ms. Novillo are based in Madrid and report into Aránzazu Arana, Head of Claims Western Europe & Latin America.Aránzazu Arana commented: “Clients place great value on our fast and fair claims handling. Mónica and Alejandra’s in-depth knowledge of the Iberian insurance market and Financial Lines business are important assets in delivering on the claims promise we make to our Iberian clients.”Ms. Llobera has been working as an insurance lawyer for the last 13 years, specializing in Civil Liability insurance including Directors and Officers, Employment Practice Liability, General Liability, Professional Liability, Professional Indemnity etc. Before joining XL Group she was a Senior Lawyer at Davies Arnold Cooper Abogados and an Associate at Clyde Abogados S.L.P. in Madrid. Ms. Llobera holds a Degree in Law by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration by the University of Wales. She also holds a Master Degree in Legal Practice from the Instituto de Empresa de Madrid.Ms. Novillo has 14 years of claims experience with brokers and insurers. She joined XL Group in 2011 as a Claims Specialist for Spain and Portugal. Prior to XL Group, Ms. Novillo worked at Direct Seguros, Willis Iberia, Marsh & McLennan and HDI Seguros. Ms. Novillo holds a Law Degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
