XL Catlin’s insurance operations in Italy today announced the launch of its Environmental insurance solution and the appointment of Ombretta Martinelli as Senior Environmental Underwriter.Simona Fumagalli, XL Catlin’s Country Manager É«¶à¶àÊÓƵ for Italy, said: “Businesses in Italy are increasingly exposed to environmental risk as they pursue growth by operating internationally. Her dual background in engineering and underwriting makes her a great asset for the team.” Ms. Martinelli has 7 years’ experience in Environmental insurance. She started her career as an Environmental Engineer before joining AIG’s operations in Italy as an Underwriter, specialising in environmental risks and global programs. Ms. Martinelli holds a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from Politecnico University of Milan.
