To help insurance brokers and businesses throughout the upper Midwest access multi-lines of commercial insurance, XL Catlin has added Todd Sutherland as its new Regional Leader, US North Central.XL Catlin’s North Central Region consists of 12 states including Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kentucky and West Virginia.Based in Chicago, Mr. Sutherland reports to Robert Peretti, XL Catlin's Head of Broker & Client Management in North America, who commented: “This region is home to many Fortune 500 companies, mid-size and commercial businesses, and is a major transportation and distribution hub for so many diverse industries. Given his experience, and proven track record of building profitable books of business, we’re looking forward to watching Todd and his team strengthen our broker and client relationships and grow our book of business throughout the region.”In his new role with XL Catlin, Mr. Sutherland will lead the regional Broker and Client Management team in Chicago, working with XL Catlin brokers and clients throughout the North Central region of the US, to give them easy access XL Catlin’s multi-line property, casualty, professional and specialty insurance coverages, claims expertise, and risk management services. Mr. Sutherland joins XL Catlin from Allied World where he led a Chicago-based team in developing and implementing a national distribution plan to grow profitably throughout the region. A 25-year insurance industry career includes tenure with Axis Capital, Kemper É«¶à¶àÊÓƵ, and AIG. He is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, OH, where he earned a degree in finance.
