XL Catlin expands its marine insurance team with the addition of Stephen Clark as Vice President, National Hull & Liabilities Practice Leader in Chicago and Alison J. Rizzi as Senior Ocean Marine Underwriter in New York.

Using their combined 40 years of marine underwriting experience, we’re looking forward to helping our clients address their hull and liability exposures with tailored coverages.”   

In his new role with XL Catlin, Mr. Clark will address marine businesses’ hull and liability insurance needs.  Most recently, he served as vice president of Ocean Marine business at CNA.  He joins XL Catlin with more than 25 years of ocean marine underwriting experience. 

With more than a dozen years of marine insurance experience in multiple lines of marine coverages,  including hull and P&I, and marine liabilities, Ms. Rizzi returns to XL Catlin from Allianz where she managed a book of complex marine risks. She first joined XL in 2005 as an underwriter in its marine and offshore energy business. 

XL Catlin’s Global Marine business provides insurance for clients with special coverage needs for their marine exposures, including Inland Marine, Ocean Cargo, Blue and Brown Water Hull, P&I, as well as Excess and Primary Marine Liabilities.   XL Catlin provides marine insurance to cover vessels, ports and ship repair yards throughout the world. Risks are written on both a primary and an excess of loss basis.
