É«¶à¶àÊÓƵin the Americas has hired an experienced underwriting leader to develop a combined form general liability and pollution liability product as it continues to scale its product capabilities for the Middle Market segment.

Peter Bakker has been named Head of Environmental Package Solutions for Middle Market in the Americas. Mr. Bakker joins É«¶à¶àÊÓƵafter 13 years with Aspen É«¶à¶àÊÓƵ, where he most recently served as vice president and New York regional manager for Aspen’s environmental casualty combined form offering. He is based in New York and reports to Chris Fallon, Head of Middle Market Product & Analytics, É«¶à¶àÊÓƵ Americas.

“Peter’s appointment is a key addition for us as we expand our Middle Market business, which will include offering brokers and clients a comprehensive solution that combines general liability and pollution liability in a single package,” Mr. Fallon said. “Backed by his strong broker partnerships and deep understanding of the market, Peter will lead the launch of an environmental casualty package solution that reflects our unwavering commitment to providing solutions that matter most to our clients.”

Mr. Bakker joined Aspen in 2012 as an environmental underwriter serving the New England and Midwest regions. He was later promoted to assistant vice president, then vice president, where he was the New York and Mid-Atlantic regional manager for environmental underwriting. He previously worked at Godfreys, Chartered Loss Adjusters in Wellington, New Zealand.
