SAO PAULO, BRAZIL – November 6, 2014 – XL Group today announced the appointment of Marcelo Zampronha as Client and Distribution Leader with a brief to continue to drive the growth of the Group’s insurance business in Brazil.Commenting on Mr. Zampronha’s appointment and the opportunity for the Group, Renato Rodrigues, Country Manager of XL Group’s insurance operation in Brazil, said: “Brazil’s mid and large-sized as well as national and multinational corporations have gained strength and become more diverse, with a broad range of industries represented. Over his 20-year career in the insurance market, Mr. Zampronha has worked in various senior business development roles at AON and Unibanco AIG Seguros in Brazil, and AIG in New York. He earned his Master in Business Administration from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (EAESP/FGV) in Sao Paulo, with an exchange program at NYU Stern School of Business, his dissertation being Organizational Studies. As an Adjunct Professor, Executive MBA, he currently teaches Organizational Risk Management and Business Model Generation at the Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP) in São Paulo.
