É«¶à¶àÊÓƵtoday announced the appointment of Matthias Tenderich as Head of Specialty for Germany.

Based in Cologne, Mr. Tenderich will be responsible for leading AXA XL’s Specialty businesses in Germany, including Marine, Aerospace, Crisis Management, Political Risk, Credit & Bond, Fine Art & Specie and Structured Risk Solutions.

Commenting on the appointment, Kai Kuklinski, Country Manager, Germany and Regional Manager, Northern Europe, said: “We have very ambitious plans for our Specialty lines in Germany. I am confident that aligning those products under a single leader will allow us to foster collaboration, work more efficiently with our broker partners and, ultimately, better meet the needs of our clients.”

He added: “Matthias is a respected figure in the German market. His extensive knowledge of our industry and his experience building multiline portfolios in an international environment position him ideally to grow our Specialty business, along with our product teams.”

Mr. Tenderich joins É«¶à¶àÊÓƵfrom COGITANDA, a cyber MGA, where he was Group Chief Sales and Markets Officer since 2023. He began his career in the insurance industry in 2005 at ERGO Group, where he held various positions before establishing and leading the commercial insurance business in several European markets.
