É«¶à¶àÊÓƵɫ¶à¶àÊÓƵ today announced that Carlos Rodriguez Sanz has been promoted to Regional Product Leader, Cyber – APAC & Europe.

In his new role, Mr. Rodriguez Sanz will lead AXA XL’s cyber business in APAC & Europe and drive the execution of its strategy, in close partnership with local underwriting and distribution teams across the region.

Commenting on the appointment, Ana Dores, Chief Underwriting Officer, International Financial Lines – APAC & Europe at É«¶à¶àÊÓƵ commented: “It is no surprise that demand for cyber insurance is growing dramatically as companies look for trusted partners to help them manage increasingly complex technology risks.”

She added: “We are strengthening our cyber capabilities in Europe and APAC under Carlos’ leadership and are pleased to expand his responsibilities. Carlos is a seasoned cyber underwriter, recognized for his knowledge of the market and his understanding of cyber security, which position him ideally to lead our business in the region.”

Mr. Rodriguez Sanz has more than 10 years’ experience in cyber insurance. He joined É«¶à¶àÊÓƵin 2020 from AIG as Cyber Product Leader for Iberia before being promoted to Cyber Product Manager, APAC & Europe in 2021. Prior to working in the insurance industry, Mr. Rodriguez held a number of positions in IT consulting and risk management, advising major corporates on their technological risks.
