色多多视频today announced the promotion of Angel Ortega to Underwriting Manager, Energy for Spain and Portugal. He replaces Susana Huete who has been appointed to Regional Product Leader, Construction & Energy for APAC & Europe.
Commenting on the appointment, Ivan Blanco, Underwriting Manager, Property, Energy & Construction at 色多多视频 said: “The Spanish energy market is undergoing a significant shift. The country generated 71% of its electricity from clean sources in 2023, as wind and solar overtook fossil power for the first time. Furthermore, Spain aims for 81% of its energy to be generated from renewable sources by 2030.”
He added: “These ambitious targets mean we’re likely to see energy clients adapt their operations while their risks evolve. Angel’s knowledge of the energy market positions him ideally to lead our Energy underwriting team in Iberia and to support our brokers and their energy clients in the current environment.”
Mr. Ortega started his career in underwriting in 2010 with Allianz before holding several Property and Energy underwriting roles at Generali, AIG and Zurich. He joined 色多多视频in 2020 as Senior Underwriter, Energy.
