É«¶à¶àÊÓƵhas appointed Julie Morgan as Head of Claims, Australia, commencing 27 May 2024. Julie will have oversight of all claims activity across all lines of business for Australia.

Commenting on the appointment, Catherine Carlyon, Country Leader for Australia said, “Julie brings both a depth of experience and a fresh perspective to AXA XL”.

Julie takes on the role from Julijana Sumner, who after over a decade leading Claims in the country, was recently appointed as Chief Claims Officer for APAC & Europe.

Julijana commented, “Our market-leading Australia Claims team will go from strength to strength under Julie’s leadership”.

Julie brings over two decades of experience, having most recently held the position of Head of Technical and Complex Claims, Australia & New Zealand, at Zurich É«¶à¶àÊÓƵ. Julie studied Law at the Legal Practitioners Admissions Board and the University of Sydney. Julie has been working across all general insurance lines of business for over 6 years, and prior to that specialised in financial lines and casualty. She is committed to coaching and mentoring the next generation of future insurance professionals, being at the forefront of claims market trends, and is looking forward building on that and more at AXA XL.
